What You Love

Wear what you love, what makes you feel pretty, or hot or how ever you want to feel. Express yourself and your mood through your outfit and style.  Its not necessarily what you wear but it is how you wear it. So be confident in it. Don't think about what others might think, focus on how you feel. Do you feel great? If the answer is yes then you can pull it off :) Everyone is different and has a unique style of their own. Embrace your uniqueness.

In the photo of myself I am wearing a bright red trench from H&M, and a plaid button down from Ross. The photo below mine is from Free People. I absolutely LOVE this organy, pink/red color. It looks great on any skin tone and makes you stand out in the crowd! It is super hot!

Healthy Mexican Dish

Lucky for my husband, I really like cooking! There is nothing like chopping fresh veggies, sauteing and seasoning food to taste! I love using different kinds of oils, onions, cabbage, mushrooms. I play around with using tomatoes and peppers as an add on to meats. It's fun to create meals and since I am health conscious (kinda) it's even better to find healthy ways to cook delicious foods! Here is a healthy Mexican recipe.

Two chicken breasts:
Grilled on the stove with sauteed green onions and olive oil.
Seasoned with cayenne pepper (just a dash), dried basil (my fave), black pepper, minced garlic and Johnny's.
I added chopped tomatoes and chopped yellow peppers in the skillet for the last 8 minutes.

The Salad:
Romaine lettuce, and spinach
Chopped mushrooms, cucumber, tomatoe, black pepper

The Rice:
Rice-a-Roni; Spanish Rice Whole Grain Blends
* I usually don't by boxed food but every once in a while I'll do it.

If you have any questions regarding how I prepared and cooked this meal, please leave me a comment below :) I hope you will try this meal, it was delicious.

Comfy, Cozy

I have had a love affair with fashion since I was 7 years old. At that young age I started creating and drawing my own fashions on paper. It was what I did most of the time. It started off with clothes for women and as I grew up, I started drawing shoes, handbags and home layouts (floor plans). I loved doing home layouts. I would design these big homes and decorate the inside and eventually started doing restaurant layouts as well.  It was always just a fun thing to do.  I never went professional with these passions but I still have a love for it.

So it's obvious I am not a model and had no idea what I was doing, it was snowing and cold (not to mention my camera was dying!) but I had to start somewhere. I choose this outfit because it is one of my favorite sweaters, scarves and my favorite boots! The colors are warm and it's comfy winter outfit. My husband took these photo's, I probably don't have to tell you he is not a photographer ;)

Sweater: Nordstrom
Jacket: Gap
Scarf: Fuego
Leggings & Leg Warmers: Target
Boots: Macy's

Snowed In, In Seattle

It has been snowing on and off since Saturday, not my favorite thing. When I was in school I absolutely loved the snow because that almost always meant no school, which also meant a delayed test or paper.  Now that I am done with my education I really don't like the snow. I mean don't get me wrong, I love the idea of snow when everything turns into a beautiful white winter wonderland! It's like a movie and everything somehow seems quieter. There is a clam in the air, it's nice but the consequences can be annoying.
It doesn't snow much in Seattle, maybe three to five days out of the year (if any) but when it snows it snows pretty good!  And almost everything shuts down, no school, no work, no nothing. Why? Well, no one is really ready for snow. Why get ready for something that probably won't happen? Many times the news will say it's gonna snow and it doesn't, so naturally most people don't bother taking the time or money to get snow tires or chains, myself included. So in the rare times when the news is right on and it does snow, we (Seattle lites) slip, slide, and get stuck when we try to drive in it. Not to mention the steep hills in Seattle, though beautiful, hills and ice/snow don't mix. As a result we all just stay home and for those of us in school, this is awesome but for hourly employees, like myself, this is not cool. It's nice to have an extra day or two off. After three or four days I start to feel stuck and a little stir crazy. I decided to bundle up and take some snow photos. I hope you enjoyed them :)
